#3

I watched a documentary called "The Cool School." It was very good. It's about how a group of artists developed an "art scene" in LA during the 60's from scratch. I wish that could happen in the Panhandle but I don't really think its possible. Who knows though, right? All you need is some crazy guys who aren't afraid to be poor, be laughed at, and get arrested for doing things different than everyone else.
I would recommend you check it out. You can find it on iTunes, and such.
Next on my list:
"Rivers and Tides"
"Man on Wire"

Here is a clip from Rivers and Tides:

So the show last Saturday with PLOY was great. We were all to nervous to function, and had some screwy guitar chords in the first song, but it went way better then any of us thought it would go. We had a good crowd, very nice to see all my friends there. Looking forward to the next one. But for now it will just be me and my drumset set up in my room playing with the headphones on. I haven't really officially "practiced" drums in about 3 years, I've just been playing enough with other people that I didn't have time. So now its back to the basics, hopefully I can get some latin grooves going.
I want to learn some more hardcore stuff too, like The Chariot, mewithoutYou, Emery, The Blood Brothers. Lets see how many albums I can get down before school starts!
I play a lot of mello stuff with the bands I've been in, but its good to be versatile, and its fun to just hit the drums real hard, and crazy hard to try to dissect a song from the Blood Brothers.... Their crazy!
The Blood Brothers:

O and my neighbor has Chow-chow, and it got all its fur shaved, except its head. and he is LEGIT now! I need to get a photo of him, but he is almost too embarrassed to come out of his dog house.

I'm about to go see the new Transformers with some friends.

2nd

I've had a ruff week, nothing really good happened. But I did find this blog:
http://www.justsayinisall.com/
They did the top 120 songs from 2008, and most of them are very good. Thanks for the new music overload!
I've got my first show with PLOY tomorrow night at the 806 which should be a ton of fun. We are going to get one last practice in tonight. This will be the 4th practice with me in the band. The songs are really simple to learn, which is nice, but they are also extremely good, which also rad. Its fun to make good music!
I haven't played a show since April, so I'm excited to see all my friends and play at the 806, which is my favorite place to play at in Amarillo.
But right now I'm working on my appeal for WT since I sucked it up last semester with Mono, and they wont give me any financial aid. So next semester I'm taking all the classes I took and failed or dropped last semester. Not really looking forward to that, but I am looking forward to not having Mono next semester.

When I grow up

First blog post.

It is the begging of summer. I have sent in plenty of job applications for jobs so my summer break would be productive, but no luck so far. I need to figure some stuff out this summer, like where to go to school at (I'm not registered anywhere right now... crap),  and what major I want to do. My first year of college at West Texas A&M, in my home town. My major is graphic design, which is pretty fun, I'm just not feeling  art program there. There are no "art students" just kids taking graphic design classes. So I might go to a community college for a semester or year and take some basics.
It hurts my head just trying to figure out what I want to do. I feel like what I pick now I'll have to stick with for the rest of my life. I know that's not true, maybe I think I'm older than I am and I am running out of time to live. I feel old, and I'm only 19.

All I know is I like to make music, above everything else.

I had a dream last night that a masked demon sarcastically tormented a little kid from his backyard (which in the dream was my backyard, but I wasn't the kid.) I enjoyed the story, although it was a bit gruesome.

I think the dream was somewhat inspired by this:
